MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Part GRH 313. Rad hose
Hello all. Anyone know where I can purchase this item with a semi circular loop I've seen on a Sprite 1 recently? Part GRH 313 from the usual suppliers is just too marginal for my liking. Does not leave enough hose to grip onto the tap for me. Ta. |

Gavin Any use? http://www.leacyclassics.com/grh313.html Thanks Mike |

Gavin I use a hose from the midget 1500 on both of my Sprites from heater matrix to tap. Alan |

Silicone version of the 1500 Midget hose as on my Sebring rep’.

If length is suspect go with Alan's choice but others- Silicone - https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/hose-radiator-top-silicone-grh313x.html?assoc=529650 At £7 or £9, even from Moss, I'd buy that. Two (NOS?) available here. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224516144084 This would be the rubber one (or two) I would probably go with, Gates. - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/gates/7433535 MGOC Spares and others have them - I've no idea about quality I went silicone a long time ago. |

GRH313 is a top radiator hose, not the hose from the tap at the back of the block to the heater matrix. I assumed Gavin wants the tap to heater hose.
The hose from tap to matrix is part number GZA2052Z which is listed as no longer available, but there is an alternative GZA2052X which is listed as being on back order. Mike at Moss Manchester told me that the Back Order info is obtained from the London store only and your local Moss may have the item in stock. I've had a couple of things from the Manchester store,(which is actually in Stockport) which were marked as on back order in the online catalogue. |

If it is thermostat housing to radiator with a 1275 using a Frogeye Radiator I used a standard dimension silicone hose with a straight extension & sleeve as I found the original too short. It would depend upon which thermostat housing is used as there are various patterns exiting at different angles that can be used. |

According to my records I used a 12G243 T/stat housing and standard GRH313 silicon top hose on the 1275 Frogeye. |

GRH313, being a top hose is a larger diameter than the hose from tap to heater. As Gavin mentions the tap, I assume he wants the smaller diameter hose, as in Alan's picture. |

Which hose are you referring to Gavin? Early 1098/1275? Late 1275? |

Or as Alan has used, 1500? As you mention "tap", that is. Sprite mk1, heater arrangement same as 1098/early 1275 as far as I know. |

If it's the heater to tap hose ISTR I couldn't get one so just used some 1/2" hose. It does kink slightly on the bend but works. |
