what type of carberation and ignition
Prop and the Blackhole Midget

Nice looking install Andy, any chance of a picture from underneath I'd like to see where you came through the body with the bulkhead connector.

Also are you using Goodridge 811 hose and connectors for the lines inside the car - I am going with 811 even though its expensive as I don't want any fumes inside.

Is your return to tank in the filler hose? I'm not a great fan of that method much prefer to return to the top of the tank.

Prop - looking at the swirl pot etc I'd guess its going to be on injection.

Martyn... thats my orginal thought as well but the engine looks to be way more then 1275 probably closer to 2000 if he sticks 4 single hs1 carbs or a duel hs8 carbs i could see fuel starvation issues ... thus the swirl pots

4 carbs and a crank trigger ignition would just be pure motor porn a boy can dream

props

Hi guys,

Carburation will be taken car of by throttle bodies probably jenvey or omex, either taper bodies or the ones that look externally like DCOE carbs, need to get the bonnet on next to check the clearance so i can decide.

Martyn - ref the bulkhead connecter i used a hole that was already there and enlarged it, may be the breather hole for the old system ? as you look into the boot there are 2 holes already on the axle tunnel and i used the left hand one as it is also directly above the tank take off.

Ref hose i am using a torques which is an inner reinforced with stainless steel and then nylon covered , it is the same spec as an earls one that is certified to be used in cabin but i cant remember the earls part no.

Ref filler hose i did think about cutting boot floor but decided aginast for now as i spoke with the frontline guys and they always return to filler hose so i thought i would try that , i had to modify the filler neck a little

Thanks for your comments all, im really enjoying getting back into building it

Cheers
Andy

Cheers Andy, I'm with you on the building - much prefer it to the driving, however I've lost count on the number of cars I've bought, striped, rebuilt and then got bored with them.

No real regrets except for one which was a 1964 Fiat Abarth 850TC really wish I kept that one - now in a museum in Switzerland I believe.

Andy, on one of my previous cars which I put on Weber Alpha throttle bodies I found a really nice small regulator that actually fitted onto the end of the rail - looked nice.
