MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Radio aerial advice?
Hi all, 1972 Mk III midget. I would quite like to fit a radio but am not keen on putting an aerial onto the body of the car. Can I ask does anybody have a good experience or opinion of a windscreen ( or indeed anywhere else mounted ) aerial? I'm not a hi fi buff, just would quite like some tunes when driving. cheers colin |

Tax disc holder Aerial. I've had one for over 25 years. Probably better ones around now too. |

Another option is to mount an aerial on a bracket and attach it to one of the rear bumper mounts. Maybe something like this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tractor-Aerial-Universal-Fit-Rubber-Wing-Roof-Mount-FM-Radio-/190793529019 |

Well... if you really are into old out of date tech ...id rig up a radio antenna on to a sucktion cup and just stick it To the inside.of the wind screen then you can remove the arial and restick it when ever and were ever you want But... why not embrace modern tech like smartpbone or tablet Just hook up the speakers to a large amp, then to a mini amp, that the smartphone hooks to that.you can take.with you, install all your music of the phone and down load an app called tune in, and pandroa, then you can listen to around 5000 radio stations including the local ones Great news ... no arial, and no radio to worry about having stolen while in wal mart Prop |

Hi Colin, I tried one or these :- http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_194445_langId_-1_categoryId_165622 Reduced to £3.99 too. mounted on a horizontal plastic strip behind the front grill, with cable run back along the bonnet release cable, worked fine for me.
