MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Radio Console
Hi Guys, I still would like a proper radio console in my Sprite. I have been lucky enough to talk to an individual who has a console in his pre 74 car which appears to have been fitted at a dealer, the post 75 ones just don't fit in the earlier cars. He has sent me some plans/drawings, linked here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/razkymk6zipzxtx/XlfvelyxR4 Can any of you give me a rough idea how much it would cost to get one made? Failing that, how tricky would it be to make something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/B-M-C-CAR-RADIO-AUSTIN-HEALEY-MINI-MINI-COOPER-MGA-MGB-MGC-SPRITE-midget-/141000002177?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d4414a81 Thanks again Rylan |

can you explain why you think the post-75 ones won't fit earlier cars? As far as I'm aware the internal shell dimensions are identical back to when the Frogeye-type dash was changed to the later type. |
