MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rear view mirror
I need to replace my rear view mirror on my frog-eye (scuttle mounted). I quite fancy a convex one to widen the view but the only ones I can find on the net are much too wide and I think will probably block my forward view. Would be grateful if anyone has any experiences? Thanks |

Hi Graham, I have the standard mirror on mine but supplemented with a drivers side wing mirror that attaches to one of the bolts on the windscreen pillar. I haven't seen a convex one. Neil |

you could ask about these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Product.do?method=view&n=1472&g=0&p=156000&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Base&utm_campaign=Motorsport http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/en/list+accessories~mirror~interior/ |

Thanks . The convex one from vi tage Cars works out at £58 plus carriage which seems rather steep. I think I will go with Neils advice.as Moss are doing a special at £9 and I will fit a quaterlight, overtaking style mirror that should give me good vision. I currently have wing mirrors fitted on the bonnet but they dont give much vision. Appreciate the help |

Yes I see your point I set my mirrors, especially door, so that I have to move my head to see properly otherwise it means the mirrors are always in line with the eyes and headlights from behind dazzle them |

Good idea Nigel - never thought of that. |

I'm sure you have I just put it as a reminder for when you set the mirrors up - you soon remember when you're dazzled but that's not usually the best time to be resetting them :) |
