MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Replacing gearbox rubber mounts
After repairing the propshaft UJ's due to noise underneath the car I find the noise unchanged as the gearbox "rubber" has split away from the mounts! Can these be replaced "in situ" or is this an engine out job? |

This is for a Mk1 midget |

Sad to say....its an engine out job. BTW...when I still had my ribcase the rubber mounts seperated from the metal portion after being only a year old...Id look into this and see if you can reinforce the glue that holds the rubber to the mounts...not sure of how wide spread problem this is...the mounts came from british victoria or moss, cant remember which. prop |
