MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rev Counter not working
Hi. I have fitted an RVC Rev counter to my midget. The car is wired negative earth. I have taken a live feef to the spade terminal on the back of the rev counter and the bullet connector is to the minus side of the coil. The Rev counter will not work. If I put an earth on the body of the Rev Counter then the Rev Counter bounces over to the red line. the car is fitted with a Aldon Distributor and an Igniter.Any ideas? |

Peter, Looks wired as mine - you should have an earth to body. I also have an ignitor. Is the coil wired the correct way around ? Is it a new/recon tach ? Mine seems to over read a bit. Richard. |

Red line even before you start the engine certainly a bit over reading! |

Going back tomy rev counter problem. Someone said it has to be earthed. I have earthed the casing now as soon as I put the ignition on the rev counter goes over to the red? |
