MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rolling road recommendations
I have already posted this query in the 'Twin cam 16v K ser - midgets and Bs' forum but not got many responses, so I thought I would try here and elsewhere. My Midget was converted to a K-series engine for the previous owner and I have no idea how it was set up or whether it is anywhere near 'right' either at part- or full-throttle. I am fortunate in being close to two rolling roads, the one operated by Peter Baldwin and the other at Mass Racing Developments. Both have good reputations, but has anyone got any suggestions as to which would be best to use for my car (K-series, twin Weber 40 DCOE carbs and Gems engine management)? Or any other RRs to consider? Thanks in advance, Jonathan |

Jonathan- Peter Burgess just recently installed a new state-of-the-art dynometer with fancy features that permit diagnosis faster than the old ones do. Less dyno time means money saved. He's just two hours away from you in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Click here: http://www.mgcars.org.uk/peterburgess/ |

Peter Baldwin is more SU and Minis Only place I know of where you drive your car whilst on the rollers (not as easy as it looks) Let us know how you get on |

Peter Baldwin, though you will have to book ages in advance. He set up my DHLA45 pretty close, then ran out of parts, did the work he said & never had to touch it since. |

In my days of having a Rolling Road in the Nottingham area, Peter Baldwin was always thought to be good BUT.... it was often joked about 'how much horse powew would you like...' Having delt with Mass over more recent years, they are the ones I would be more likely to trust. What ever you do, choose one and stick with the same. Mark. |
