MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rolling Road South essex
I've had my 1275 back on the road for a few weeks now. Lots of little things to sort out but it passed MOT and I can use it at last. the little things Starter motor has a poor earth or is on its last legs as it fails to turn engine after first try. I've checked battery. Added additional earth???? It runs on (so what) Brakes need some improvement (keep your distance) But the one I am keen to solve most is the needle choice and tune. I got some prof help to tune it but the BDL needle wasn't right. So I think I need a rolling road to sort this out. Currently running a modified BDL which I am sure is too rich. So the question is where can I find a good value rolling road as close to Southend as possible. Its slightly modified HIF44, elec ignition, fast road cam, K&N, RC40 single box and a most expertly DIY ported head. many thanks Tim |

Found these on a MINI BBS cyclone motor sport in wickford engine advantages in whitam redline tuning in basildon swallow engineering in basildon T&M's in colchester john mowatts on the A127,near basildon I use A series guru Peter Baldwin who is based near Cambridge. Key point is to find someone who REALLY knows about SU's as they should hold a fair range of needles. A lot of operators only are only used to modern injection systems. HTH |

I can highly recommend Mowatts, A127 next to Quirks.Talk to Mick he knows how to get the best from A series. They have great history making them faster reliably. |
