MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Sealed Beam

Can anyone clarify what LD or LHD on a sealed beam is there seems to be conflicting answers as to Left Dip/Left Hand Dip or Left Hand Drive.
I have a 1500 midget 76 and a headlamp needs replacing
Many thanks

the sealed beam units are not handed per unit -- so i can only guess it must be left hand drive -- therefore you must have the wrong units fitted -- why not convert to halogen and be done!
Mick - trying to sort the wiring

I believe LHD is ok for UK Motoring - it dips to the left.

LHD I think means left hand dipping

I've got Lucus flat front (not normal convex) H4 and they are a lot better than the seamed beams cost about £36 a set with lights, plus you can upgrade to Osram Silver Star bulbs later if you want

Sealed beams are about £8 a piece
