MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Seat Cover Help
I am currently recovering my seats for a 67 Sprite. The seats I have are the non - headrest type and they are not the Frogeye type either. I received the car with the seats disassembled but I do have the old seat covers, however the squirrels and mice "removed" the carpet-like section on the lower back of the seat. My question is can anyone explain or have a few photos on how the back of the seat should look as it attaches to the seat frame? A picture is worth 1000 words, or a lot less typing. -Thanks Steve |

Steve, I have seats from a '66 midget that are out of the car. I believe them to be original and never recovered. They are in storage but I should be able to get to them in a few days. I'll get some pics. Paul |

Steve, does your seat look like this?

The back is fastened with spring clips. I have other photos showing details and the underside with the rubber suspension. If you want the full size photos drop me an email, pnoeth at gmail dot com. Paul |

Steve, Call Victoria British and ask for SM.18, "How to Install Your Midget Interior." Very good illustrated guide. Should be free. If they don't have it anymore, let me know and I'll scan mine. Lee |
