MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Slave cylinder crinkle / wavy washer source
Does anyone know here you can get the crinkle / wavy washers that can be used in conjunction with a conventional circlip to retain the rear brake cylinders in place of everyones' favourite springy E-clip? Thanks |

Hi Jeremy I cant help with a source of a wrinkly washer but why not pull the locating roll pin out, tap 2BA and bolt the cylinder in position. No more washer hassles. Alan |

Does that not prevent the cylinder floating slightly? (I'm sure we've been round this one several times before on here!). (and now I come to think about it those washers maybe dished spriny not wavy). |

Moss have them. part numbers 17H7949 and 17H7622 for the Circlip. Apparently its called a belleville washer. Dave |

Or you can tap it M5. |

Jeremy we looked at this a couple of years back (well, might be longer!) - I found a source of circlips but completely failed to find Belleville washers in the correct size... except a specialist fastener company in the USA that wanted a min order of 5000 ! |
