MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Spark Plug Equivalents
I've been given a box of 10 Motorcraft AG252 spark plugs and have been trying to check if they're okay to use in my 1275 midget. I've done the usual trawl on the internet and found that the N9YCs I'm using currently are equivalent to the NGK BP6ES and that the NGK plug is equivalent to the Motorcraft AG252, but I can't find a direct correlation. Does anyone any thoughts or indeed a direct comparison. Thanks Ian |

That is the direct correlation mate. Your Midget is best when fitted with NGK BP6ES and your check found that AG252 was the equivalent so they are fine. |

Thanks Bob, what are peoples preferred plugs to use in the 1275 engine. Ian |

This is one of those personal preference things, for me whilst Champion were the thing to have 30 years ago,I swear by NGK these days. |

I stated what I prefered. :) However take a look at a race meeting what people are using. Those at the sharp end of the grid will be using NGK some new commers at th rear will have a whole host of other types (I have even seen splitfires) The marketing moguls are good. :) |

Thanks guys, it looks like a set of NGKs is in order if I don't get on with these Motorcrafts. Ian |
