Peter May or Frontline. Check their webpages |

Checked many sites including PM and Frontline and they only list complete kits. I'm after just the discs and spacers but nobody lists just these on their own. I don't have the facilities to modify/make bits myself so want ready made items. Rob |

Pick up the phone and ask Peter, or better still call in if you're in the area, he is helpful. I recently acquired this kit but missing the top hat spacers for the kingpins, Peter had a set made up for me. |

Thanks David, I'll call him in the morning (hoping he works Saturdays) or Monday. Rob |

Here you go rob This link is for the spcer you can get the entire kit for around $500 The spitfire rotor can be taken to any local Machine shop and turned down to fit http://www.spridgetmania.com/part/HUF175/Big-Disc-Brake-Adapter-Kit-pair--Sprite--Mg-midget Prop |

I have this big brake set up, I think 1 disc is slightly warped and need to replace the spitfire disc, are they standard size or turned down?? I see they are called 9" kit however the spitfire disc I think is 4mm larger than 9" FL asked for over £70 for a pair of solid discs, there are cross drilled and slotted discs on an auction site for about £40.... Thanks Jon |

I recall they are turned down to 9". I'll have a scan at that well known auction site tonight. Rob |

Rob, The Spitfire discs are 232mm new and need to be turned down to 9" (~229mm). The spacer can be made from 4"/100mm aluminium and there is a rather wonky dimensioned picture attached. Material for the spacer would be around £10/15 for each one, unless you can find a machine shop that uses it regularly, then likely to be much less. Would be interested to see what the price would be from Peter May, if he has them as spares? Richard |

3mm, that seems such a small amount. Does it really make that much difference? |

The disc size is limited on the Midget because it turns very close to the Trunnion and the TRE. The PMay kit and FL kit have spacer washers for the steering arm (which may necessitate cutting 1cm off the length of the steering arms) and a spacer to raise the trunnion a tad to clear the edge of the disc. Also, the inside of the rotor needs a slight relief as it catches on the MGB caliper. Not always but castings do vary quite a lot. Rob |

Perer May list replacement discs http://www.petermayengineering.co.uk/catalogue3.htm#3.1.1 £88 presumably a pair but I expect you have to add VAT. Rob |
