MG Midget and Sprite Technical - steering column shroud 1500
morning everyone does anyone know what the threads are on the screws that hold the steering column shroud together - I'm actually getting that close to finishing the interior! I can't find the shroud on any of the usual suppliers websites so can't look there. I've tried a few screws (I have one of the 4 screws, and it's close to -but not quite M4 |

I think they are a BA thread, probably 4BA |

Note for archives Well I did the 4ba and the 3ba but its neither of those I had an mgoc order anyway (another story related to fitting mgf seats and clipping the fuel line with my drill) so added on there - you can see the thread difference, although Im not convinced that the 3ba I bought is right seems ok diameter (without a micrometer) but pitch is the same as 4ba which isnt right The one from MGOC is RMP214 if that means anything to anyone |

Yes 4BA and 3BA shouldn't have the same pitch as the diameter and pitch of BA threads is calculated by formulae using the BA number as a power and rounded to 2 dp, it is a metric based system, likely the first UK metric thread. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Association_screw_threads |
