MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Thread size
Hi can anyone help me please with the thread size of the stud/bolts in the block for a fuel pump blanking plate on a 1275 . Presume it’s an UNC , one of might is a bit sticky going in , the one I took out looked like it had a bit of thread damage |

Think it is 5/16 UNC in the block, see: http://www.minispares.com/product/classic/SH505061.aspx Blanking plate: http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/2A265.aspx Diagram: http://www.minispares.com/catalogues/classic/Classic~Mechanical~Parts~Manual/Engine/Engine~and~Block~1275cc.aspx?2~12~108 When as a stud for a fuel pump the other end, the nut end (non-block) is UNF, see: http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/CHS2515.aspx?ReturnUrl=/catalogues/classic/Classic~Mechanical~Parts~Manual/Engine/Block~Components~~Pistons.aspx?1~2~8Back%20to%20catalogue The above is part number 9 on the diagram: http://www.minispares.com/catalogues/classic/Classic~Mechanical~Parts~Manual/Engine/Block~Components~~Pistons.aspx?1~2~8 & Cheers Mike |
