MG Midget and Sprite Technical - TRW/Lucas Master Cylinders
Has anyone used the TRW/Lucas brake master cylinders from Moss? These are what Moss is offering and I was wondering if they are any good. |

By the way it's the dual line brake master cylinder that I'm wondering about. |

Hi Complaints that some leak straight out of the box ( one member had to return two ) others that they retain residual pressure. Much discussed on the MGA site it seems AP Caparo are the cylinder to use. They (AP Caparo) are available on eBay for £86. Alan www.masckent.org |

Is this for a frogeye or later sprite/midget. If you have got discs then you need the later small bore (3/4") spridget one. I too heard that the TRW ones were not the most reliable. I got a NOS Lockheed/Caparo unit from www.powertrackbrakes.co.uk. Its been absolutely fine. They post worldwide. |

I have had trouble with the TRW ones. Definately go with AP Caparo, they are no more expensive (in fact cheaper than Moss over here). Alan, MK 2 Midget also uses them. Trev |
