MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Type2 brake master cylinder
Tried to bleed my brakes tonight after a very long layup. The master is refusing to pump, I suspect the seal is not returning. I have the type 2 cylinder with the separate resevoir and checking with Moss they list it as NLS they also list the connecting pipe as NLS! What are people doing for these parts? I hope to use a repair kit for the cylinder but I do feel that I could do with replacing the resevoir connecting pipe.Any ideas? Carl |

Carl, I think that I've got a spare on that you are welcome to have if thats any use? it may be suitable for spares or rebuild, I'll take a pic tomorrow to make sure that its the same one. Regards, John |

Carl if you mean this sort, you can have this one, for pipe I think fuel hose of correct ID would suffice.

You could also replace it with a later Master. Looks better as well! Graham |

Thanks for the advice guys. John I will be in touck off board, thanks. I am hoping that as the master cylinder seems to have failed whilst laid up that the problem will be deteriated rubber as opposed to wear in the bores, hopefully a kit will sort it. Cheers Carl |
