MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Waterless Coolant

I have drained off the water/antifreeze coolant from my 68 1275 midget and I am considering refilling with a waterless coolant.
Has anyone experienced any issues with the coolant or can provide any advice on whether or not it is worth changing to waterless from water/antifreeze?
If it matters I only tend to use my car during the summer months.

Loads in the Archives, basically stick with antifreeze coolant and avoid Evans Waterless.

The antifreeze is also a coolant with additives to lubricate and protect the cooling/heating system so don't just rely on the antifreeze element as that part tends to deplete last, change regularly.

If you've not already done so before, don't just drain and refill also carry out a thorough cleaning of the cooling/heating system. If you want them I have sets of notes on very easy but thorough methods of cleaning, email me if you want them, a few others have liked them but most don't bother.

There are many better driving days, dry and even sunny, in late autumn, winter and early spring than in summer so why not take advantage of them and there are less bikes, horses, walkers and wheezy classics on the nice roads then too.

I got given some evans 7 years ago and have used it since then with no problems.

Evans coolantless coolant. ha ha!

The science behind it is optimistic at best.

What problem are you trying to solve by switching to it?

£5 to fill with blue antifreeze and water or £100 and a load of faff to purge the system and switch to Evans.

How has it not gone the way of the lead balls in the fuel tank nonsense?

From my website
Waterless Coolant . In our opinion using coolants other than water with antifreeze/corrosion inhibitor addition as recommended in the original workshop manual can allow the engine to run too hot and cause problems such as sticking valves and piston damage. We offer no warranty on our engines and heads if waterless coolants are used. Water is the best liquid for transferring heat.
