MG Midget and Sprite Technical - weeping tandem mc
I've recently had my tandem master cylinder rebuilt by Apple hydraulics and replaced my brake lines. My question is, is it normal to have brake fluid dampness. It's damp around the brake and clutch pipe as it enters the MC.It seems to weep about a drop noticed after each run.I didn't use a sealant on the gasket where the rods enter, thinking the fluid would seal them.I know this is somewhat nit-picky ,but the 63 is getting close to near perfect, and would like to know if this is normal. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks ,Mario |

I made my lines from stainless and I had to go back and tighten the down a few times before they stopped seeping. Its hard to get down to te fitting even with a crows foot wrench. No sealer just keep snuging them up. You can see my 63 on you tube. http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=RestorerMatt&p=r |

Matt, thanks for the tip, maybe one more tenuous snug will do it.I must say I was amazed to see your 63 on you tube, you are skilled! Good luck with that beauty.Mario |
