MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Which suppliers are best?
Hi guys, Which suppliers are best (friendly, helpful, reasonably priced etc.) for MG bits? I would like to offer them some parts which are usually listed as "no longer available" in quantities sufficient for them to list in their catalogue as good used items. I have 36 sets of Spridget spider gears and about 20 MG TC spider cross shafts which are leftovers from when I converted many Morris / Spridget diffs to suit TCs and TC race cars. If they had them in stock it might help a fellow MG enthusiast and would help clear my shed! I would like to offer them to the most "worthy" of MG parts suppliers so I am interested in your feedback. I have always had good service from Phil at Welsh MG in Wrexham but it's a long way from South Australia. |

Bob, If you do offer them to anybody, they'll just dump them on eBay. So if I had the parts, eBay is where I would sell them, then you would be helping the owners get the bits without the inevitable dealer mark-up. Malc |

Behind Classic Car Clinic on the Gold Coast is Dave Godwin of MGA RIP fame. He's a GREAT guy (driving from Ushaia to Vancouver at the moment) and is just the right sort of guy to make sure it's not a quick buck turn at someone else's expense. If you have never followed his exploits on the Silk Road, through Africa (I was along for a bit of that adventure), then through Europe Sicily to Nordkap, and now from one end of S. America to a long way up in North America, it's well worth following some of the blogs here http://mgpanamerica.mgcc.com.au |

Thanks guys, You have made some excellent suggestions. I will contact the people recommended. Dominic, what a great trip from South to North America! I know Kay and Mike Hurlihy, who are on that same adventure. Cheers, Bob |
