I had a set of similar wheels (5 1/2" x 13") fitted to our Minor for 40 years, and was very pleased with them until a couple of years ago, when two of the centres failed whilst on the MSA Euroclassic in Italy. I had some spares of a similar vintage, so fitted them temporarily, but then succumbed to Minlites (genuine), but I really do not like the appearance of them on a Minor. How old are the wheels and what is the difference between the midget centres and non-midget centres? Richard |

No Idea how old they are. They are later midget centres without the brake adjuster holes . Some wheels you may find are made from Austin A35 / A40 centres or even Frogeye centres , if they have the round adjuster hole then they are a weaker wheel and could be more prone to cracking. |

Ah, mine are/were 'with' the brake adjuster holes -ex A40 Farina, or so claimed in 1970 when I bought them 'new'! Can we deal? Please contact me on richardl.wale at btinternet.com. Richard |
