MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Will this work?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if this will fit a 1978 midget steering column? If so, will the splines marry up? Think the wheel is from an Austin A50?

Neither the steering wheel or column are currently in my possession so cannot check myself!

Many thanks in advance for all and any help/advice!

James Ballard

The measurements are probably not as important as the spline details, I think you'll need to try it on the column to be sure. Also the depth of the wheel is important, it may be too deep and foul the dash.

curses! and here I am without either!

I do have a '76 midget steering wheel... I'm assuming the splines on the '78 vary little from the '76?
James Ballard

The 76 and 78 splines will be the same. But how does that help?
