MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Wing Window Widgets??
Dumb question, buttt.... 72 midget. At the top trailing corner of each wing window frame there is a small rubber piece that forms the upward stop for the side window. On one side, the rubber widget is barely a half inch long front to back. On the other, its longer, maybe an inch. Why is that?? Why the difference??? chuck

they are supposed to be identical.

but there were two styles, long and short my 66 car had short ones but they are U/A so the longer (presumably safer ones) are IT!

indeed, the design changed when the quarterlights went from chrome on brass to stainless steel. And a '72 should have a pair of the larger ones.

Hmmm. History of our '72 shows no door or quarter-light replacement, yet the two sides are different. Butttt ... Chrome on the right with the shorter rubber. Stainless on the left with the longer rubber. Never noticed that before. WTF, over ...! chuck
