MG MGA - 1500 vs.1600 Carbs?

My tired 1500 cam out of a Magnette. I'm considering swapping in a 1600 that has no carbs or manifolds with it. Can I use the carbs and intake manifold from my 1500 on this 1600?

I see some 1500 versus 1600 part number differences in the Moss catalog, but I don't know how significant they are, and don't know how to ID the carbs on the Magnette engine to determine if they are really 1500s or from some other engine.

Hi Bruce. Yes, your 1500 carbs and manifolds are a direct boltup onto the the 1600 head. Im not sure what all the differences are between the 1500 and 1600 SU carbs, but I think the overflow pipe routing is different between them. Cheers! Glenn
