MG MGA - 1600 mk1 engine rebuild
Hi All Just stripped engine down and taken to machine shop for possible re-bore. I had Hepolite 14986 +30 9:1 CR pistons in. Likely to need +60 re-bore. Can anyone tell me where I might find these pistons. If these are not available which are the best 8.3:1 CR pistons to fit. Thanks |

I had a lot of trouble getting 9:1 pistons for my 1622. Talk to Basil Adams over on the MGA Forum; http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/list.php?2 I got mine from him. Good quality and good price. |

I used Moss part 420-568 Aerolite's .060 if you cant find the Hepolite ones |

If the usual sources can't help try Clive Pearson http://www.cpearsonpistons.co.uk/ Clive has several sheds full of old stock and has helped me out on several non MG projects over the years. He is based in East Yorkshire. |
