MG MGA - 1622 Correct distributor

Does anyone know if the DM2 distributor is coreect for the 1622 engine? I read on a web sight that there was a difference in the distributors for the 1622 vs the 1500 & 1600. Unfortunatley the only elluded to it and did not give any specifics, like, model number (which would have may it easier to figure out). Thanks for any light you may be able to shine on the subject.

The distributor on my 1622 engine has 40761A 1161 stamped on the side. I think it also has DM2 stamped on it as well but I am not sure.
