Dear MG - friend,
I am selling my 1959 MGA 1500 RHD (right hand drive).
I bought the car during my stay in South-Africa in 2008.
The previous owners, a retired car enthusiast and his son restored the car during 2 years to its original conditions.
It was a nut and bolt restoration. They sold the car to finance their new project a Jag XK150 which was in the middle of its restoration.
Seeing the job they did so far on the Jag, I realised that father and son did good jobs.
They told me the MGA shell was not to badly rusted which made it easy for an external panel beater to fix the metal and repaint the car.
Today, 5 years after the restoration, the car looks still stunning.
I drove +/- 8.000 km in South-Africa during 2008-2009. During that time little technical hiccups have been sorted by local specialists and additional upgrades have been done. In 2010 I moved back to Belgium and brought the MGA with me. It is now registered and driven in Belgium (import duties for the EU have been paid, no additional duties for the UK have to be paid).
