MG MGA - 3 main vs. 5 main

I am concidering putting a 1800 MGB engine in one of my A's. I have been told that the 3 main is the easiest to install but I have located an early B with a banjo type rear end and a engine that looks complete but there is no tach drive on the engine and the aluminum tag is missing from the engine so I guess the engine is a 5 main. The owner has no title and he thinks the car is a 1967. What is the difference in installing a 5 main vs. the three main in the MGA?

Between the archives here and the info on the mga guru site, pretty much everything you need to know has already been written. Read up and then ask specific questions if anything is not clear.
