MG MGA - ABQ to Whistler: Mechanics?
I'll be heading out on the 20th towards Whistler on a route from ABQ to SLC to Boise to Richland to Seattle. In case something happens, does anyone know of british car mechanics shops and Moss distributors in these towns or along the route? thanks, Tyler |

And I will be happy with a drive around the neighborhood. My hat is off to you who take the A on the long road trips - you are an inspiration. (Barney being way, way up there!) Steve |

Hi, Tyler: There is one place in Vancouver called Octagon Motor Group at 1538 Venables Street, phone 604-253-4145. I haven't used their mechanics, but have bought parts for my A from them in the past. Hope you have a great trip! Bobby |

Thanks for the contacts, especially the Vancouver one. I know from experience it's tough to get anything fast from the US while in Canada. We had a cylinder head for a 1960 Morris Minor overnighted from New Mexico to Whitehorse, Yukon (we were driving the Alcan 5000 rallye). The head got there a week later. Tyler |

Octagon has a full stock of MG parts. They are a Moss distributor and deal directly with the UK as well. Their mechanics are very experienced with all MG problems as they have been restoring and servicing primarily MGs for 30 years. The owner of Octagon will be at the event with his wife and her MGA. BTW: Ther will be towing laid on for the run to Lilooet on the Duffy Lake Road. Hopefully it won't be needed. The Duffy is a fantastic MG road, and should be even more fun with a hundred or so cars running it at once. Maybe we can find a local "Bandit" to distract the Mounties while we go through! See you there! Rich |
