MG MGA - anniversary
This Thanksgiving Day marks the 25th anniversary of the last time I drove my car. After seizing the engine and not being able to afford to rebuild it I decided the car needed a complete restoration. Little did I know that it would take this long! After starting the project again a year ago I thought that for sure that the car would be on the road by now. It is not nearly ready but is much further along and I hope to have the car on the road by spring. I am jealous of those of you that are out driving your A's and I feel for those of you who are in the same spot as me. |

I hear ya. It has been about 13 years since I drove my A as a daily driver and about 8 years since the last time I drove it period. I still have quite a bit to do before I can drive mine. Come by and take me for a ride when you get done. :0) |

Hay guys - Hang in there, the final results is well worth the many hours spent getting there. Cheers - Dave |

Mark, Now I feel better. I started my 'basket case' restoration in 1996 and it may be five more years at the rate I'm going, before I drive it. I call it deferred gratification, but of course, putting the puzzle together is fun too. Harley Johansen |
