MG MGA - Another 1800 conversion question
I have a 1967 MGB engine and transmission that I want to put into my 1960 A. I think the best way to do this would be to swap the rear of the A transmission with the rear of the B trans. Is this an easy swap? I do not want to weld the frame to install the B trans mount just in case in the future I want to return to stock. I have read somewhere that this swap is possible but I can not seem to find out where. Is it possible and where can I read about it? |

It works if you use the tail housing from the "late 1500" or 1600 type gearbox, January 1959 or later production. Also change the speedometer drive gears to MGA type, and use the MGA shift extension housing and hand lever. |
