MG MGA - Another MGA On the Road!!
Well it is about done. My assembly is done and it is on the road (20 miles today). My 1500 restoration, ongoing off and on since 1991 is ready. The painter took about a year to get it painted but it really looks great. I am scared to death that some idiot will hit me. I will install the top tomorrow and a few ditails. Some images are posted on Yahoo at: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/liledoun/album?.dir=/b39ere2&.src=ph&.tok=phfup5EBKgvvcfxh Check out the clouds reflected on the hood. Pretty good for a wrecked car that has a replacement front clip. What am I going to do with all my time now?? I guess all the stuff I told my wife I would get around to, will be coming up now. (Or maybe--I should get that 1600 out of the barn and start on it?) Jim |

Yup, time to get busy on the other one! Insure the newly finished one really well, and drive the crap out of it. |

Jim, congratulations on your excellent restoration - it looks superb. I echo Tom's view - get out and drive it - as far and as often as you can. If you're looking for something to do in a red MGA take a look at this site http://vamp.idlers.org/~jaffa/dp.htm?Tarr%20Steps4&Tarr%20Steps4mo Enjoy your driving Geoff |

Damn, that looks good! Enjoy it! Don't make the mistake I made, I restored a 67 midget and then became scared to drive it. I sold the car years ago, I hope the new owner is driving the hell out of it! Don YD1 956 (under resto) |

I sure hope I never restore one as nicely as this. I might be afraid to drive it! That's why my cars always have a certain "patina" (as they say on Antiques Roadshow) and anyway, there's got to be at least one car in the MG Club that people can lean on and chat about MGs! Beautiful effort. Congratulations. |
