MG MGA - Brake and clutch fluid
I have a 1957 MGA. What is the best brake fluid to put in the master cylinder? I understand that DOT 3 is better than DOT 4, but not sure why - if that is true. I am not interested in converting to silicone (DOT 5). Thank you- Bill |

What you get today is DOT 3/4. Cheers - Dave |

Just curious what your hesitation is in switching to DOT 5? I put silicone brake fluid in mine when I restored it and am quite happy with it. With all new paint, I didn't want any chance of ruining it due to leaks or my fat fingers. And no, I'm not trying to start another 4 vs. 5 forum war . . . |
