MG MGA - Brakes and motor

A question that Im sure has probably been asked before. I am starting on the A I just bought and the motor is going to be the first stop. I would like to build up the 1500 thats in it. I am toying with possibly setting it up according to SVRA rules. Anyone done this? Also, has anyone converted to a dual circuit master cylinder AND kept the drums in the front? I cant change the brakes but I am allowed to go to a dual circuit for safety reasons. Thanks
