MG MGA - bright mga

Judging from the door fit it must be a very good shell, the rest of the restoration looks to have been done to a pretty basic level (look the engine bay and boot - not so pretty). With a bit of work and a gallon of Chariot red paint, could be a very nice car! |

Yes but ant it yeler. |

Apparently, in France, a yellow car is a sign of being cuckold! |

If I was his wife, I would find another man (with better taste in car colours) |

Reason for selling; "Honey, it's me or the car!" Lucky it wasn't a nice red twin cam! |

It should be invisible in Florida!! (but not Canada) |

You guys need some imagination! For the record, my favorite colors are black, black, and black, followed by dark gunmetal, Mallard green, Mineral blue, Damask. In the early 70's, I got way tired of painting customer MGAs red, and we had a MkII to build for sale, so I did it in Corvette yellow. It looked great, and was by far the most (favorably) remarked on A I've ever seen; every stop got great response from any bystanders. Even the various "Red owners" grudgingly admitted it looked as good as theirs. We did have a black/black interior in it though - much better than the tan, which doesn't do a thing for me in this yellow car. It was also the easiest and quickest sale, at the best price we ever got in those days. FRM |

That was the 70's for you! Try selling one like that on this conservative little island! |

I wonder if it has a fresh lemony scent as well? Neil McGurk says "With a bit of work and a gallon of Chariot red paint, could be a very nice car!" Yeah, that's what the world needs - more red MGAs. Of all the red MGAs built, 137% are still on the road. :-) |

Hey David, Stand at the side of the road and wait, see how long it is before you spot a red MGA! Not exactly common. There is a reason why so many are red! And I was the guy talking about painting my resto dove grey, remember. LOL Neil |
