MG MGA - Carburetor Damper Piston
I am about to reinstall my carburetors after pulling them for a clean up and to replace a leaking float. I noticed the confidential service memo on Barney's web site regarding a change to a shorter piston in July, 1959. http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/care/csm/mg264.pdf My carbs have the longer, original style piston. Anyone have experience or thoughts on going to the trouble of shortening my damper pistons? John |

John, That Confidential Service Memorandum refers to the mga twin cam. Normally when a CSM refers to several, or all models, they are listed. Do you have a Twin Cam or can it be confirmed that it applies to all SU's? Mick |

Mick, You are indeed correct. Thanks for the clarification. John |
