I would suggest the best way is not to bother - just enjoy the sound of the engine - Cheers Cam |

Tend to agree with Cam. I have a CD in my car but I really struggle to hear it. To fit one it is a good idea to change the polarity of the car to negative earth which makes installation a whole lot easier. |

CD players are a personal choice. I chose to install one and do use it, but not most of the time. It does come in handy on those long highway trips. The best way is the one you choose as everyone has their own idea as to how close they want to keep their car to original. It is a sliding scale. That being said, a regular DIN size radio/CD will fit in the normal dash location. Easiest to convert your car to Negative ground while you're at it. Speaker location is another personal choice. I chose to build a speaker box that sits on the transmission hump just forward of the gearshift lever. The box can easily be unplugged and removed for those show times (actually, it never happens). Look in the archives. There is much on this subject. Chuck |

You can easily build kick-panels that span the upright frame pillars that line the wheel wells creating space for flush-mounted speakers. Worked well for me. Just for fun I put a Bazuka tube sub-woolfer in the trunk. Steve |
