MG MGA - Clutch Arm
Well I am into it full speed. Five speed that is. I ordered up one 5 speed tranny and need to find a early B clutch arm to go with the MGB clutch pressure plate that I will be installing behind my MKII engine. Does anyone know of a spare 63-67 MGB clutch arm lying around? Ray |

You will also need the front cover plate of the gearbox from an early MGB. Mick |

Ray will NOT need a new front cover plate from the transmission as he is putting in a NEW 5 speed trans. I presume it is the Hi Gear Ford trans. The only thing Ray needs to do is make sure the the clutch piviot arm mounted to the trans is for the MGB and NOT the MGA clutch arm. I had a MGA arm and ordered the new pivoit arm to fit the new MGB clutch arm |

Surely you can order the correct arm with the kit |

Dominic, A new MGB clutch arm retails for about $170.00. I am hoping for a used MGB clutch arm. The local supplier for the kit,can sell me a used one for about $80. Seems high for what was basically scrap a few years ago. Supply and demand is bringing all related equipment up in price. Still searching, Ray |

Ray I understood that the kits are delivered with all the bits that you need. Do really have to reuse an old component with the kit? If so look to mgbreakers.com or andy jennings (advertiser on this site) I paid 7US for a release arm only a few years ago |
