MG MGA - Coupe Trim Colour

Is anyone able to send me a sample of the grey carpet & leather/vinyl upholstery that was originally fitted to 1500 Coupes? I've had samples sent to me from Moss/SF/VB etc. & the variance in shade is quite remarkable. I realise that it may not be possible to exactly match the colours but I would like the new trim to be somewhat akin to the original shade.
Obviously I would be prepared to reimburse postage costs.
I'm also looking for a source of "Mineral Blue" vinyl used on the parcel shelf, scuttle top & dash trim roll.
Thanks.

Gordon,
Thanks for your advice. I have in fact received 4 samples of vinyl from Woolies. Three of the samples are of a dark grey and the fourth is a mottled lighter grey. It may well be that the original trim was a darker grey but all of the photographs I have seen of "Mineral Blue" coupes (with the exception of the TC recently posted on this site) the trim colour appears to be more of a dove grey. The same applies to the carpet.
It really is becoming quite confusing and hence my plea for original samples. I should point out that my coupe was re-trimmed in black vinyl by a previous owner.

Mr. Dickinson,
Thanks for lead but again the samples I have received fom Heritage Trim all appear to be too dark.
The closest vinyl/leather sample (in my opinion) I have received is from SF with Moss sending the best carpet shade. I should point out however that the SF "Woollen" carpet appears to be the best quality with a long plush pile. Regretfully the grey is a greeny-grey.

Hi Rod , here are some pics of my old coupe which I know was 100% original having been in one family from new, I expect it had all faded a bit , the dash board and the dooer cards were an off white, biege colour whilst the bit on top of the scuttle was blue and the door capping were grey even the door rubbers were original, the front bit of the tunnel carpet had been replaced years ago as they got gearbox oil on it

Rodney,
just checked in my shed for the old parts, I could send a piece of original carpet if you still need it.

Rod, As you may recall, I sat in the first coupe to come to SA (in about 1957 I think). It was the delightful Mineral Blue and had LIGHT grey trim. This was (in my opinion) the most attractive colour combination (I might have even been able to live with the then-trendy two-tone interior!) but regrettably was not carried over to the 1600 coupes (as one or two other colours were) so I had to paint mine Chariot Red. I don't think that Mineral Blue was available on roadsters either. To overcome my frustration I painted my daughter's recently restored MGC GT Mineral Blue but had to settle for black trim. Good luck with your quest for the correctly coloured interior materials.

Gordon--Thanks for the photographs. At least I can establish that the grey was in fact a light grey.
You don't happen to have a "King Dick" wooden handle phillips head screw driver in mint condition that you'd like to part with?

Siggi--You have mail.

Barry--I remember the car well (Motors Ltd???? Cnr.Flinders St & Gawler Place). I have requested a sample of the original carpet from Siggi but I have had no offers of a sample of vinyl/leather which is most disappointing indeed.

Hi Rob , from memory it was a two tone colour scheme, sorry but I haven't found a genuine king dick screwdriver in any condition lol
