MG MGA - Crankcase Breather Tube

I need a carnkcase breather tube. One is for sale on eBay but the seller does not know if it is for an early or later MGA engine. My engine does not have a number plate either (who eats those darn things?!?!?) but the car is a '59 1500 and I will assume it is the original engine.
Question - what is the difference between the two styles of breathers and does it really make a difference? (Not going for concours, just right parts in right places.)
Thanks!
Steven B

I don't think there is a difference, but being so close to Moss, give them a call.

That's definitely one of the later type. The early type didn't have the 'hook' shape at the end. The connection point on the early tappet cover came straight out and the breather pipe just had a short 90 degree bend where it attached to the cover.
