MG MGA - DISC BRAKE CLAIPER PLATESIa
I assenbled my hubs and rotors excettera , for my front disc brake conversion, but have a problem. When trying to mount the caliper it goes on at angle. I can only guess that the caliper plated might be on the wrong side IE: RT on LF....LF on RT. Is there a way to verify which plate is right and which is left…..or are they the same. Thanks |

Problem solved, not enough torque on the spindle nut. All is well. |

I finally finished my conversion to front disc brakes and swapped out my old wire wheels . I also changed from wire wheels to disc ones on the front. I did not have time to change the rear wheels to disc wheels, so I drove to The British Invasion car show, in Vermont with WW on the rear.
My car now stops extremely well and I no longer have a " death wobble " at 60 mph. Best ride in a long time. 400 miles and no shake or fading brakes. My thanks to the members of the BBS for there help and assistance. |
