MG MGA - DISTRIBUTOR REBUILD SERVICE
I have checked the archives and while I can find lots of helpful advice on doing your own rebuild I have found nothing recommeding a reputable rebuilding service for the non DIY'r. I just don't have the time or opportunity to tackle this myself as I will be absent from home for a few months. My desire would be to send my DM2 Lucas dizzy off now and have it all "shiney" and ready to drop in when I return in the spring !! I tried Joe Curto but he tells me he no longer does distributors. Are there any recommended services out there ?? Thanks for your help !!

Michael: Have you tried "British Vehicle Electric" in Beeton, Ontario? Not sure if he does distributors, but he rebuilt my starter about a year ago (excellent work and cheap too). His number is 905-729-1035.

A couple of years back I sent my distributor to Holden Vintage in the UK for a complete rebuild. It came back looking like new and ready to drop in. Performance has been faultless since. http://www.holden.co.uk/hvc-home.htm Regards Steven

Try Aldon - they can rebilud it like new (I think they do them for Holdens too) and can also fit their electronic ignition at the same time. http://www.aldonauto.co.uk/
