MG MGA - Dog Nut Torque

Is there a torque figure for tightening up the crank dog nut. Or just do it up as tight as you can with a wrench.
Henry

Can't find this in the books at the moment. Can someone advise. The engine is back in the car after renewing the clutch.
Henry

As long as you get the lock washer on good, I wouldn't think the torque would be critical. I just tightened mine until it felt really tight. Barney has a good page on getting the lock washer right. http://www.mgaguru.com/mgtech/engine/cs104.htm

I can't fit a lock washer on mine - it's deep inside a custom pulley.

I just put the car in gear, wind on the handbrake really hard, and get the torque wrench out and wind up as hard as I can. Last time I may have used some threadlock.
