Prettiest Coupe I've ever seen. E-bay # 190022892032, I don't know how to hot-link it Steve |

Yes it is beautiful. This is the 6th week in a row it has been listed if memory serves. It has been bid up to $28,200, the highest yet, this week and still doesn't meet minimum. Last week it got to $21,200 week before $28,100 earlier it only bid up to 17 or so. He did drop his buy it now price from $34,400 to $32,800. He calls it Concourse, nut and bolt but it is missing a few details. No finishing strip under doors and fenders. No coil mount and wrong coil in wrong place. The non original changes such as radio, oil filter, and the tires and wheels are nice upgrades. I have been watching it and E Bay seems to have set the current top of the coupe market at around the 28 it is bid to now. I wonder if he has seen the bids at places like Barret Jackson and thinks E Bay can match them. The cost of those auctions is much greater and the need to take the car to the sale will eat up any increased price they bring. A friend of mine has a 58 Corvette he has decided to sell locally for $80,000. It is every bit as well done as this car. He figures car would have to bring well over 100 to net the same from B-J, and every car there is no reserve. Ten years ago would a car like this have brought $12,000? |

It certainly is a beautiful MGA but look at the fit of the RH door. Seems a shame to have it not fit the wing line or rocker panel. When were generators painted other than black? Sandy |

Lovely looking car - but not strictly concours (we've had that discussion here before!!). What is known over in UK as a Pride of Ownership or Condition category car. The only thing that makes me gag is the Jap radio. If you can't fit the correct one - then have a blanking plate as I have in mine - it has never had a radio fitted. Or have modern internals put in period case- who needs to listen to a radio anyway when you have the engine to listen to!. Oh and the generator has always been engine coloured MG maroon Sandy - cheers Cam |

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder,I think mine is the prettiest I have ever seen, not the best, but the prettiest, and my wife agrees, for a grand total of two.....so far. |

A lot of very nice work done to this car but some body panel fitting, as mentioned doesn't match the quality of the rest of the restoration. The interior is just gorgeous. 1 question though, what is the knob on the boot bulkhead panel for. It is next to the starting crank handle. I've never seen this before. Possibly a battery disconnect of some style? If it is, it is nicley hidden. Chuck |

When the cars were new the starter and generator were engine color. All replacements were black. |

any car can be nitpicked, lets face it. This car really is terrific...And,..at the buy it now price, the restorer is only losing a shed load of time and barrels of cash. |

That is a nice car. I do agree about the radio looking out of place. On one car I did I hinged the blanking plate and fabricated a bracket to mount the radio behind it. That gave me the best of both worlds and made the radio a bit more theft proof to boot. Rich |

RJ, got any details or photos of your install? I was thinking of doing something similar but without a hinge. Magnets or clips were the way I was thinking. TTFN |
