MG MGA - Factory parts book pages request

Hi,

Does anyone out there have the MGA factory parts book who can scan 2-3 pages for me please? A friend and I are having a "spirited discussion" regarding the 1600 Mark 2 taillamps and their part numbers. I need the page with the drawings of the lamps and the associated pages with the taillamp lens and lamp part numbers. Just the Mk 2, "Mini-like" taillamps.

Thanks,
Paul B.

Hi Paul,

I wil try and load the pages in this message and the next one.
There is a limit on file size, so the reduced size images may be difficult to read.
If so, I can try loading just a section of the page.

Hi Paul,

Now the part numbers. This is the hard bit.

The whole book is online here

Both versions 1500 and 1600

Hi Paul,

Dominic's suggestion is the best way to go, but just for my own interest I have uploaded the part numbers page in a 90 degree offset view and larger size. A bit better.
You may need to print it to read it.

Dominic, looking at the Nuffield price list for MGA, is it saying that the twin cam was not sold as a separate car in its own right but a customer opted for the twin cam engine, disc brakes and centre lock wheels etc for the extra sum of 270.00?

On the price list, it seems that you built your car to order. The premium for a TC engine etc. is just added to the build price of a standard car, along with any other additions. I am sure the car was built to spec, not modified from a standard car (too many differences on the chassis alone to make that even remotely feasible).

It's certainly much easier than trying to figure out the options on a modern car.

Wow! Mick, thank you VERY much for your heroic scanning efforts. I was able to read the second scan of the numbers just fine, and the parts drawing was very clear also.

Domenic, your site rules. I think it is the best MGA site I have ever seen antime, anywhere. There is a proble with the 1600 parts book loading (so ya know). I get this message when t trys to load:

The file is damaged and could not be repaired".

Other files download just fine.

Again, thank you both for your help. Now, back to show my friend what's what. :)

Paul
You are very kind, but I think I have to point to Barney's site mgaguru.com as the best one I know of apart from this BBS. I just have a lot of documents and pictures, Barney has real first hand information. I'm always happy to add to it if anyone has other documents or information that is missing.

My site will be down for the next couple of hours while I do a complete reload (it takes about three hours to ftp everything back up).

Paul,
Try this for the 1600 Service Parts List

Now mine is reloaded and working.
