MG MGA - Front shock problem?

I bought my 1956 mga roadster last October. After working on it all winter I finally have it on the road. It drives great but I have noticed a perculiar problem....
When I go over any bump with the left front tire, the front of the car feels like it jumps to the right. I have wire wheels, new springs up front, rebuilt left front shock, new radials, new rear shocks and rebuilt rear springs.

Get the tracking checked and corrected. Also check tyre pressures

Why only the left front shock rebuilt? - you would be better to replace in pairs - they could have different stiffness rate which could be causing your problem - Cheers Cam

Tire (or tyre) pressures should be around 24 front and 26 rear. This is a lot less than on most modern cars, so maybe if you have the usual 32-36 psi in your tires you will get a harsh ride. Adjust up about 2 psi for heavy load, or a lot of freeway driving.
