MG MGA - Front shock problem?
I bought my 1956 mga roadster last October. After working on it all winter I finally have it on the road. It drives great but I have noticed a perculiar problem.... When I go over any bump with the left front tire, the front of the car feels like it jumps to the right. I have wire wheels, new springs up front, rebuilt left front shock, new radials, new rear shocks and rebuilt rear springs. |

Get the tracking checked and corrected. Also check tyre pressures |

Why only the left front shock rebuilt? - you would be better to replace in pairs - they could have different stiffness rate which could be causing your problem - Cheers Cam |

Tire (or tyre) pressures should be around 24 front and 26 rear. This is a lot less than on most modern cars, so maybe if you have the usual 32-36 psi in your tires you will get a harsh ride. Adjust up about 2 psi for heavy load, or a lot of freeway driving. Peter. |
