MG MGA - Fuel consumption

Interesting site
Google Fuelly
Get the REAL numbers, not EPA or Transport Canada lies!

Art - Interesting site, but I have to question their results when it shows a 66 MGB at 20 mpg and a 70 something at 30 mpg. Cheers - Dave

are you sing the same gallons ? Us Gallons are much smaller than Imperial Gallons in Canada....former is about 80% of latter.
Neil Ferguson

You can get any fuel consumption you like with a B Series engine - depends how you drive and how skilful a driver you are! Not sure many will be able to replicate 142 mpg (yes, imperial gallons) achieved by our best economy driver this year - overdrive, not going over 1500 rpm, plenty of angel gear use, bare foot driving, cold fuel and plenty of skill.

These are actually tonne mpg figures so are a liitle higher than straight mpg. Helps even out diffrent car weights. Also EFI equiped modern cars are also handicaped.

The site will show consumption in various units, mpg imp / mpg US and L/100 km, see the tabs to click.
Bear in mind these are user-supplied figures so subject to all the usual errors that ordinary folk can maker! But the reality is in the number of results.
And the spectrum.
