MG MGA - Fuel Magnets?
Has anybody been tempted to look at these fuel magnets available on flea-bay? How could this possibly work? Item number: 190605798284 Item location: ERITH, London, United Kingdom May be a case of "let the buyer beware! I'm interested in your comments. Barry. |

Barry, Have a read of this, especially the paragraphs at the end..................Mike http://fuelsaving.info/magnets.htm |

Just the idea that you even ask the question perhaps puts you in the "gullible" category. |

I won a bet related to those things almost 30 years ago. At that time they used cow magnets to work the magic. The bet was that there was such a thing as cow magnets. My guess is that ths incarnation works just as well as the originals; that is to say - they don't. |
Chuck Schaefer |
Mike, The article says it all! Barney, Never "gullible" enough to buy it! "Sceptical" -- Yes, definitely! But I would like to hear from anyone who has used it. Barry |
Barry Gannon |
Why? Wanna embarrass them in public? Rub it in that they wasted their money? Looking for some gullible sucker for your next scam? Or do you still have the slightest inkling that it might actually work? Being skeptical goes along with being gullible, meaning you are looking for someone to convince you that it works. |

Relax, have some fun! gas magnets, water magnets, cow magnets, I'll bet there are more out there. Have a laugh! Ted |

There is always a stall at car shows selling such devices - give them a wide berth - goes in the snake oil category. |
Cam Cunningham |
Cow magnets have been used in dairy herds for many years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow_magnet |

I think I will give these a try, they sound great. I already have: Splitfire spark plugs (loads more BHP) sports filter (15% more BHP) Sports coil (5% more BHP) Stub stacks (15% more BHP) ETC etc. My car now cruises at 150 MPH Great and with this mod I could maybe get up to 200 LOL Seriously!!! If this technology was any good the motor industry would be fitting it as standard, Beats building cars where the engine switches off when parked at junctions!! those are the lengths motor manufacturers go to to save fuel yet ignore this superb device. I wonder what happens when you demand your money back? |

Used in Spitfires and Mustangs!? www.fuelex.co.uk/ Steve |

I am in I rang Mercedes Benz and promised them these savings and they have offered me £1,000,000 in consultancy fees. They said this idea would change the world of car manufacture.!!! LOL |

I have a bridge for sale if anyone is interested. its located in the NE US. |
Bill Haglan |
Ed, I knew of cow magnets as a youngin'. My Aunt and Uncle had a dairy farm which we visited every summer. they used them for the traditional purpose. When not in situ, they doubled as refrigerator magnets. Old time farmers don't waste a thing! Robert, have you tried the Tornado? that's good for a few more HP. You might reach 160MPH. Oh, don't forget the water mist in the manifold. Bill, will you take some swamp land in Florida as a trade on your bridge? |

I had always assumed that a "Cow Magnet" would just have been a really really attractive bull! (not that I personally would be able to tell the difference between an attractive bull and an un-attractive one!) |
Colyn Firth |
Someone ( a female) called my MGF a "Babe Magnet" till I showed her where I stowed the Zimmer frame. |
M Blencowe |
That is one I had to look up. All these new terms to learn. Finally got used to using boot and bonnet. Now I have to learn to use the term Zimmer frame, as I will probably be needing one in a few years. |
Jeff Schultz |
I have a better plan, and I will sell you all a chance to get in on the ground floor. Send the money to my private address, those who know me will know the address, those who don't are just trying to get my secrets, so I won't give it to them. You really want to get in on this. You won't know what the idea is until you pay. Oh wait, that's the line they used on Obamacare. Nevermind. |
Mike Parker |
Now now Mike no need for political pettyness is there? We were all having a bit of fun! |
Bob Turbo Midget England |
Good one in today's 'Mail on Sunday'. A number of our top footballers have been taken in with an investment offering 20% return a month! Some have invested up to £1,000,000. Looks like a Ponzi-style scheme. Steve |
Steve Gyles |
Oh Bob there's no pettyness there. We're in for about 4.5 Trillion over our last President's debt load. Believe it or not, that was the approximate line for the government health care bill, "We won't know what's in it until we sign the bill." Jackasses in Congress, that's what we have. |
