MG MGA - Gear box number
I recently had my Gear box rear oil seal replaced, but after a couple of months it is leaking again. I notice that there are three different seal arrangements, depending on the gearbox number, and wondered where the number is, in case the previous owner has swapped gearboxes. Any ideas? |

Nigel, It is shown in the Service Parts List. Image attached. Mick |

Thanks Mick. Unfortunately, the gearbox is still in the car. Oh well! |

The number can be viewed threw the hole in the carpet, just use a camera phone Cheers Mark |

Hi, Thanks Mark. However, I couldn't get a decent picture with a camera or 'phone, so with a combination of torches and mirrors I have found that the number is M367. Does any one know which seal arrangement I need? Thanks in anticipation. Don't forget, it's 'drive it day' in the UK this Sunday |

Hi there Look in Victoria british or moss catalog, they show and explain what you need. Then crawl under your car and have a look what you have there. Martin |
